We killed our pricing tiers

Zernio has one pricing model now: pay per connected account. Your first 2 accounts are free. After that, it's $6/mo per account, dropping as you add more. Every account gets every feature we ship.

The old tiers are gone. So are the add-ons.

What was wrong with tiers

We had four plans (Free, Build, Accelerate, Unlimited) and three paid add-ons (Analytics, Comments+DMs, and recently launched Ads API). The model worked. But it had problems we kept bumping into.

Developers had to guess which plan they'd need before they'd written a line of code. That's a weird ask. You're evaluating an API. You don't know how many accounts your users will connect yet. Picking between Build and Accelerate at that stage is a coin flip.

Then there were the add-ons. Analytics cost extra. Comment management cost extra. So some developers were shipping products without the tools to understand how those products performed. That bothered us.

We're a team of five. We don't have a pricing committee. We just looked at our own model and asked: would we want to buy this? The answer was probably no. So we rebuilt Zernio pricing.

How the new pricing works

You pay per connected social account per month. The first 2 accounts are completely free. The per-account rate drops with volume:

Account RangePer Account / Month
First 2 accountsFree
Accounts 3-10$6
Accounts 11-100$3
Accounts 101-2,000$1

Volume discounts kick in automatically.

Scaling past 2,000 accounts? We offer custom pricing and a dedicated Slack channel with direct line to our engineering team for high-volume setups.

Everything is included

Every account, including the free ones, gets:

  • Publishing across all 15 platforms, unlimited posts, threads, first comment, queue, calendar
  • Analytics: impressions, reach, engagement, follower tracking
  • DMs: read and send across Instagram, Facebook, X, WhatsApp, Bluesky, Reddit, Telegram
  • Comments and reviews: reply, moderate, across 10 platforms
  • Ads: boost posts, create campaigns on Meta, TikTok, X, LinkedIn, Pinterest
  • Webhooks, MCP server, CLI, 8 SDKs, dashboard, unlimited team members

Analytics and Comments+DMs used to cost $10-$1,000/mo extra depending on your tier. Now they're just part of the product.

What this means at scale

Here's the math for a few common scenarios:

Connected AccountsMonthly CostWhat's Included
2$0Everything
10$48/moEverything
25$93/moEverything
100$318/moEverything
500$718/moEverything
1000$1,218/moEverything

The "What's Included" column is deliberately repetitive. There's nothing to figure out; your account already has all the powerful features of Zernio social media API.

X/Twitter is the exception

X charges per API call. We pass through their exact rates, zero markup: $0.005/read, $0.010/write, $0.015/DM. We track it separately so you can see what you're spending.

If you heavily rely on X API usage, we advise you to set up a limit cap in your Zernio account to make sure that the billing cost is under your control.

Every other platform is fully included in your per-account price.

Stop building social integrations from scratch.

One API call to publish, schedule, and manage posts across 15+ platforms.

If you're already using Zernio

We want to make sure the transition is simple for everyone, regardless of which plan you're on today.

If you're a paying customer on an annual plan, the switch happens at your next renewal date. If you're on a monthly plan, your current pricing stays active for the next 3 billing cycles. Either way, you can switch to the new model sooner from your dashboard if you'd prefer not to wait.

One billing change worth noting: under the new model, billing shifts to end-of-period, so you only pay for what you actually used during a cycle.

If you're on the free plan, your account keeps working exactly as it does today. But you now have the option to switch to the new free plan, which gives you unlimited posts, analytics, comments, DMs, and ads on your 2 accounts (the old free plan was capped at 20 posts/month with publishing only). You can make the switch from your Zernio dashboard/billing whenever you're ready.

Why we think this is right

We build infrastructure for developers. I think infrastructure pricing should be boring. You connect an account, you pay for it, you get the full product. There's no "which plan has the feature I need" moment, no mental math about whether the analytics add-on is worth it for your use case, no tier comparison chart to squint at.

We made this call because it's the pricing model we'd want to buy. That's the whole pitch. Simpler pricing.
